Returning a work order to the utility
Copy linkThere are times when a utility contractor needs to return a work order to the utility. Common reasons include: the location can't be found, the meter can’t be replaced and requires additional work, the water meter is leaking, or the meter is in a confined space — such as under a house. These are just a few examples of when a work order should be returned to the utility.
- From the main menu, select Work.
- Under Work, select Orders. A list of work orders will appear.
- Find the work order you want to return to the utility and check the box in the left column.
- In the top right of the menu, click the Action button. A list of action options will appear.
- Click Return to Utility. The "WO Parameters" section will appear.
- In the bottom right section, select the appropriate Return to Utility Reason.
- Click the Run button to process the return.
- Once completed, the work order status will change to RTU and will no longer be available for dispatch.
